Natasha Maine studied at the Wits Hotel School, now known as the University of Johannesburg where she did her first year in Hospitality Management theory and practical studies.

Through Wits University she also received her certification in Wine Studies which was a course done by KWV Wineries.

Natasha then transferred her credits gained at the Wits Hotel School to Southern Oregon University USA where she received her Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in Business Administration, a Minor in Hospitality Management and a Focus in Marketing.

She then worked as the Assistant General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Medford Oregon USA, which is a 120 bedroomed 5 Star Suite Hotel. There she was also head of three departments namely the Conference Facility, the Restaurant and the Front Desk Departments.

She gained the best international experience, as the Marriott Hotel Group is renowned for their award winning business systems.

Among some of the awards Natasha received, the Medford and Ashland business commerce nominated Natasha for business women of the year in 2007 and she received the Marriott Management Excellence Award from Marriott Hotel Group for the year 2007.

Upon Natasha’s return to South Africa she started Natasha Maine Consulting.  She specialized in the hospitality industry by helping Hotels and Guesthouses integrate the systems she used at the Marriott Hotel Group in the USA.  She also does training on all levels as there is quite a trend in people starting guesthouses with little or no experience of the hospitality industry.  Within the training package she pays specific attention to Performance Enhancement and Employee “How To” booklets.

What started off in the year 2000 as an aunt baking cakes for her nephews birthdays have by word-of-mouth, turned into a very successful cake making paradise.  Natasha is so busy with her cakes that she decided to integrate Confectionery into her already existing Consulting business.  As every individual is different and unique, every cake Natasha makes is different and unique!

Uniquely made for YOU
